I watched the news and it said Phi Phi Island has been wiped-out. Is this true?

Phi Phi Island was one of the worst hit areas in Thailand. Over the last three year’s there has been a tremendous effort by the local people, and volunteers to try and put the island back on its feet again. Phi Phi is back, and has again become one of Asia’s most popular beach destinations.
