I was told that there is hate mail to Gainax flashed on screen in The End of Evangelion. Is this true?
Yes it is true. The text that is quickly flashed on screen after the live-action segment and right before the Lilith-Rei being’s neck begins to bleed, is a collection of emails sent to Gainax.
