I was previously enrolled in Baxter’s GAMMASSIST program, which provided coverage for an insurance lapse. How is the GARDian program different?
The GARDian program provides all of the benefits that the GAMMASSIST program provided, along with a number of enhancements. Under GAMMASSIST, it was necessary to earn, maintain and redeem paper certificates in order to be eligible to receive GAMMAGARD therapies at no cost. We are happy to announce that you no longer need to worry about managing certificates and the waiting period is lessened before a person might be eligible for assistance. Under the GARDian program, Baxter has expanded its insurance assistance to embrace all eligible IVIG patients, including newly diagnosed patients and those who are not currently using GAMMAGARD therapy. If you require IVIG therapy, experience a lapse in insurance or are uninsured and meet the program’s eligibility requirements, you may access GAMMAGARD therapy at no cost. In order to access these benefits, you will need to enroll in the GARDian program.
