I was diagnosed with SEVERE obstructive sleep apnea. What would be the least painful and/or easiest solution for my problem?
A. If the sleep apnea is severe, probably a tracheostomy would be the best way to go. Suff- erers of severe OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) do not fare well on CPAP or BiPAP machines, because they have to use such high pressure settings. While mandibular advancement may offer significant benefit, it is a horrible surgery to go through.
