I was automatically logged out of the WebAudit – why?

Audit data includes information that could be used to identify individuals (e.g., Date of Birth, Chart Number) which must be kept confidential. In order to do so with internet-based software like the WebAudit, DHHS computer security guidelines require an automatic log out if the computer is unattended for some period of time (20 minutes). If you are in the middle of entering data for a record and need to leave your computer, click on the “Save” button at the bottom of the screen, even if you aren’t done entering data for that record. That way you won’t lose any data, and can go back and “Edit” that record (meaning adding in the rest of the record’s data) when you next get back to your computer.
