I was automatically enrolled into the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) and my student account has been charged, but I already have insurance coverage. What are my options?

A student MUST contact the Insurance Coordinator within 30 days from the first day of classes and provide current health insurance information for the premium to be removed. After 30 days into a term, the student’s enrollment into the Student Health Insurance Plan cannot be cancelled and the premium will not be removed. Students may contact the Insurance Coordinator, Krista Pruitt via email at studenthealthinsurance@smu.edu .
