I want to use my iTools machine as a proxy server, and I have enabled the proxy cache in the “Proxy” section of the admin server, but nothing appears to work. Whats wrong?
In iTools, the Proxy cache comes shipped disabled due to the overhead in the Proxy module. In order to enable the Apache Proxy, uncomment lines 859-887 in your /Local/Library/WebServer/Configuration/apache.conf file. Make sure that there is only one “ProxyRequests On” directive in your apache.conf file. Once this is done, make sure that the /Local/Library/WebServer/ProxyCache directory is owned by user “www” so that Apache can write to it. Once this is done, restart Apache and the admin server, and your ProxyCache should work. 8.
