FilePoint on the handheld doesn’t handle firewall security, you will need to figure out the security scenario that works best for you. One option is to use a Virtual Private Network (VPN). VPN clients for some Palm OS devices are available from Certicom (www.certicom.com). Another option is to open up the necessary TCP/IP ports on your firewall to allow network requests to flow through. The three port numbers are 137, 139 and 445. Note that we do not recommend opening up these ports to the general public on your firewall due to the security risk.
