Connect a Powerline Adapter to another Computer to Build Your Network 6. Plug a Powerline Adapter directly into an electrical outlet near the laptop or desktop computer you would like to add to your network. 7. Insert the Ethernet cable (provided) into the Ethernet port on the bottom of the adapter. 8. Insert the other end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on your computer. 9.
