Yes. From Jack Culpepper (jack@cs.hmc.edu): Look for the pin numbers on the monitor connector and short out pins 4 & 11 (monitor sense lines) with a paper clip. (I’ve been using this for months.) Another method is to spend $25 on an SVGA adapter that can be configured to emulate a mac display. However, you probably cannot boot a machine which lacks any kind of video hardware at all (e.g. an older II-series Mac without a NuBus video card), since it may not even boot into Mac OS in this configuration.
