Hi Kirby, It is not necessary to change your running boards to match the wider fenders. This is mostly an asthetic issue and if the running boards left stock look good to you with the wider fenders, great … If they don’t, then you will have to decide on how you want to modify the running boards to match you new fenders and look good to your eye.
