I want to make my own Eds site but I don know anything about website programming – any suggestions?
Having no knowledge of HTML isn’t a problem – try signing up with one of the sites that provide FREE webhosting such as Lycos or Bravenet (these two offer free hosting as of this writing but you can always do a web search to find others). Many of these provide you with template-type web pages where you can choose a format you like and then simply type in as normal – the program does all the coding for you and you can add pictures, counters, guest books, etc. If you’re feeling a bit more ambitious but still don’t want to code, you might want to try a program like Microsoft FrontPage or Macromedia Dreamweaver – these will let you create pages the way you want and will automatically provide the HTML for you. A blog such as the ones offered for free by Xanga, Blogger, or Livejournal can also be a good and easy way to start an online Eds project, blogs can be excellent places for creating spriting / icon making communities for example.
