I want to live and work on the West Coast. How many graduates find jobs there?
As of graduation, 17 graduates in the Class of 2011 had accepted positions in the Western Region of the USA. This is defined as Alaska, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. The mean base starting salary was $109,700 and the mean signing bonus was $16,200. Each year students groups organize at least two treks to the West Coast: the Week in Silicon Valley and the Trek to the Pacific Northwest. These trips are an important component of the job search for students interested in those geographic regions. In the Spring of 2011 the CMC participated in “Just About Jobs,” a multi – school recruiting event in San Francisco, and in Cornell’s Big Red Interview Forum in San Jose.
