i know it sucks to have to wait but u need to wash it and then not put in any product and let ur hair get dirty for two or three days then highlight it if u put it on product itt wont work and if u put it on clean hair it has trouble working with ur hair hair color reacts well to dirty hair as gross and weird *** it sounds
