Well, this is not exactly a frequently asked question, but nevertheless someone (very few) actually wondered about it… Just for academic knowledge sake: • If you’re using Firefox, open the Extension Manager by selecting the Toos|Add-ons menu and choosing the Extensions tab). Highlight the “FlashGot” row and click the Uninstall button. In the rare case it doesn’t work, read next points. • If your Extension Manager does not open or your extensions are not shown there, your Mozilla/Firefox Profile is probably corrupted: migrating your data to a new profile may help. • If you’re using Mozilla or SeaMonkey, please refer to this article. If you want to get rid of the external download manager as well, you have also to delete the native Mozilla plugin shipped with your download manager, i.e. a DLL file placed in your %MOZILLA_HOME%\plugins directory, that you may have accidentally installed. Some known plugins are npfdm.dll (Free Download Manager), fdplugin.dll (FreshDownload), NPLeetchGet.
