I want to get an ACCA Practising Certificate and Audit Qualification, what do I need to do?
Answer For an ACCA Practising Certificate and Audit Qualification a member should complete the practice certificate training records (PCTR) and submit these with an application form to sit the audit orientation course and test (AOCT). When you sit and hopefully pass the test you will receive a certificate of competency. At least 30 days before you are ready to open your practice or when you want to become a partner in a practice, send the certificate of competency, a practising certificate application form, and a quote for professional indemnity insurance to ACCA Glasgow. If your application is in order, you will be issued a practising certificate, an audit registration certificate and ACCA will register your practice name in CRO. You are then ready to start. The certificate of competency does not expire and you can choose when you want to start in practice, you need not do so straight away.
