You would have to figure out what the house number should be. Usually one side of a street will be even numbers and the other odd. And you can just count such as: 24, 26, 28 on one side and then 25, 27, 29 on the other. Try that method to see if it can give you a clue to what the number should be. Is there a marking on the curb? If it is in a residential area, sometimes, numbers are painted on the curb. If you can figure out the number, Google your counties tax assessor website and you should be able to find out who owns the house from there.

Go to someone who does title searches and they can figure it out for you. If your county has its county tax records available on line you may be able to enter the address for the house next door then bring it up on a map that will allow you to click on the lot you are interested in. That is the way the system works where I live.

If you can estimate the number by how the other houses on the street run (every 2 numbers, 5 numbers, etc) then you will have the address. Many counties not have websites that you can enter the address and the owner’s name comes up. If your county does not have this, go to the court house and ask where to get the info.
