You can download the tag layout to the printer using the built-in RS232 communications port and the LDL (Label Design Language) protocol. A complete description of this protocol is available in the Software Manual for the Qualitag® printer. Note that the printer requires that your end of the communication link support the XON/XOFF flow control protocol. Additional protocols are available for downloading variable data field information to the printer. These protocols include: InfoSight Extended Protocol, Siemens 3964R/RK512 and Allen Bradley DF1.
