Notepad is free with all Windows version 2.0 and higher. It is a basic text editor that you can use to copy text and paste into Formatta forms. Because Notepad supports only very basic formatting, you cannot accidentally save special formatting in documents that causes conversion issues with the Formatta forms. By copying text into Notepad and then pasting into a form, this will eliminate this conversion issue. To use Notepad to copy and paste text into your Formatta forms, do the following: • Open the document that has the text you wish to use. • Copy the text (Ctrl+C) you wish to paste into your Formatta forms. • From the Start Menu, select Programs > Accessories > Notepad. • Paste the text (Ctrl+V) into Notepad. • Select the text you just pasted into Notepad, and then copy it (Ctrl+C). • In the Formatta form, paste the text (Ctrl+V).
