If you are bringing in firearms normally allowed into Canada by using the importation procedures found on the Canada Border Services Agency website, then you may tour before the start of the Games in accordance with the provisions of your registration documents. Once the firearms competition venues open up, you may transport your firearms to the venue for storage during competition. If you are importing firearms or objects normally considered prohibited, the only way to tour Canada prior to the opening of the competition venues is to have these items shipped to our designated Customs Broker. There is no legal way to travel with prohibited items within Canada and no Canadian firearms owner can store these items for you. The only way to store these items is at one of our armories. Restricted firearms require an Authorization to Transport.
