It’s illegal to own the kind of special paper that banknotes are printed on, hence why photocopies can never pass as real money. I’d suggest using a foreign note thats not worth the paper it’s written on. Iraqi Dinars are ideal and do the rounds all the time on eBay with and without Saddam’s portrait on – you can buy a whole wad of freshly-minted 50 Dinar notes for just a few quid, which would cost practically nothing to burn.
