I want to be able to insert references in two forms (ie fact (Jones 1998), and Jones (1998) said…). Can I do this with EndNote?
If you want to incorporate the citation into a paper (Example: “Brown and Linz (1997) discovered . . .” ), you can do this by adding the reference in and deleting the names, but leaving the comma. So, [Brown, 1997 #38] would become “Brown and Linz [, 1997 #38]”. This will ensure that this reference is still cited in the reference list. You will still need to manually type the authors names as I have indicated above.
