If you actually want to be an electrician you want to do an electrical apprenticeship or maybe attend an electrical vocational program. Electrical engineers are much more than that. They design electrical systems, tell electricians what to do, etc… There is a lot more involved in being an engineer, like a four year degree with a lot of upper division math and science.
