You definitely should. Take every AP math and science course your school offers if you’re intending to go into engineering. I did this in high school and then opted not to place out of the corresponding classes in college, but I still feel that having them on my transcript helped with admissions and having taken them made classes easier. Also, apply to Cooper Union while you’re at it.
