Windows XP has a feature called ICF that is an internal FIREWALL. If you have this feature enabled on your PC, you will need to OPEN the Hcam port in order to accept connections to your camera. To OPEN the port 201 (Hcam default) for example, just follow these steps: 1. Click Start, and then click My Network Places. 2. Under Network Tasks, click View Network Connections. 3. Right-click the connection you use for the Internet and click Properties (This will most likely be named Local Area Connection). 4. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings. 5. Click Add to open a new port. 6. Type a friendly name in the Description box, for example, Hcam port 201. 7. Type 127.0.0.1 in the Name or IP address of the computer hosting this service on your network box. 8. Type 201 in the External port and Internal port boxes. 9. Click TCP, and then click OK.
