Besides the activation of the host accessor functions after the upgrade to ESX Server 4.x (see SAP note 1409604 – SMP login required), you need to upgrade the VMware Tools on each virtual machine. This is due to the fact, that VMware has adapted their client library for ESX Server 4.x to provide more data to the SAP system.
