I use the mail order pharmacy program. How do I transition my existing prescription to the Tufts Health Plan program?
FastStart by CVS Caremark (Tufts Health Plan’s pharmacy benefit manager) can help you access the mail-order pharmacy service quickly and easily. Getting started is as easy as making a phone call. In order to use FastStart you will need your Tufts Health Plan ID card. You will be able to call after January 1, 2009. Reminder: Please be sure to plan ahead. If you will need to have your prescriptions medications during this transition – please have your prescriptions filled as appropriate and indicated prior to January 1st. FastStart will call your doctor to get your prescription set up for mail order. Before contacting FastStart, please review Tufts Health Plan’s prescription drug formulary list to check if your medication falls under a Pharmacy Management program (for example it may have a dispensing limitation or require prior authorization). If your drug is on a program, please contact your provider to request coverage prior to contacting FastStart. More information about the FastStart
