I use multiple email clients (webmail, mozilla, etc.) How can I make sure they play nicely?
a. Avoid accessing your email simultaneously from multiple mail programs. For example, while using Pine, you see that you have a number of attachments you want to view or download to your local machine. To make it easier for you to view or grab your attachments, you decide to switch to HCC Webmail or Mozilla Mail, or mail clients that run locally on your personal computer. Before you do that however, you make sure that you log off of pine first. This is an important step as it makes sure your mail files and folders are not being accessed by more than one mail program at the same time. b. Do not use POP in any of your mail clients. For any mail client, other than HCC Webmail or pine, which you use to access HCC email, configure it to use IMAP instead of POP. This lessens the chance of corruption within your mail files and folders.
