The street names of turns you’re approaching are in actuality comments on hidden waypoints with names like ‘M001’. The modern mapping Magellans have a limit of 200 waypoint comments. So if it has 195 waypoints with comments (easy enough to do if you’re using software to load them) and you generates a route, only the first five street names for approached turns will be available. Of course, if the unit was already “full” when you generated the route, you will get no street names. The only way to get street names to work is to clear some waypoint comment space by deleting comments and/or waypoints with comments.
