I upgraded JAVA and it is not working correctly with WebCT. What do I need to do?
We have found that with some versions, when upgrading JAVA, the older program has to be completely removed, and then install the recommended version of JAVA, instead of just installing the newer version on top of the older one. We have created a program that will make sure that you have the correct version of JAVA on your machine. Go to the PC Health Check site to run the program. You will need to be in Internet Explorer and have the .NET framework installed in order to run this program. To remove Java from your machine manually, follow the steps outlined below. • Click Start and choose the Control Panel option. • Click on the add or remove programs icon. • Scroll and find the version of Java (J2SE Runtime Environment) that you are running, and click remove. • Follow the steps to complete the removal of Java. • Download the recommended version of Java to install. This can be obtained from the WebCT Tuneup website. • Either double click on the setup.exe file that was saved to your C dri
