I understand the Humane Society provides foster care for animals. How does that work?
A. We have fostered more than 730 animals — animals that are ill or too young for adoption are all cared for in volunteer homes. But that’s not all—the Society fosters animals for those who are temporarily unable to care for their pets—the deployed, the disabled, the hospitalized . . . even those fleeing domestic violence. To learn more or become a foster care volunteer, please call 356-2217.
