The Administrative Services Manager I (ASMI) and II (ASMII) classifications are being abolished as a result of the work in building a solid, updated classification structure. The classification descriptions for ASM I and II are very broad, and, upon review of the individual description forms, it was determined that other existing classifications better describe the professional work being done. The classification structure work is intended to organize like-work and similar job duties and responsibilities together. The new Administrative Assistant I, II, and III classifications are likely the “best fit” classification for most Administrative Services Manager I positions. The Administrative Services Manager II classification is currently held by employees performing a diversity of functions for the City.
