I understand that several types of receiving antennas are available. Whats the difference?
Yes, there are three basic types of receiving antennas. The first is a standard, indoor antenna about the size of a person’s hand. This antenna is used for those locations within, say, a couple of miles from the transmitting antenna. The second is an outdoor grid antenna for those locations further away from the transmitting antenna where the signal is weaker. The third is the Coastal Broadband designed Panamodem with POE (power over ethernet). This antenna is designed for those distant or heavily wooded locations where extra gain is needed. Coastal Broadband will assist with the installation; however, additional costs typically apply for on-site assistance and extra eqpuipment required for connection.
