The Nvidia card is a part of this new functionality. Avid DS version 10 has a new real-time processing framework built to support effect processing IF you are on a GPU-enabled platform (CPU, Card, etc.). By having the GPU handle certain processes and effects, real-time capabilities are greatly augmented, customers are free to work more quickly, experiment creatively with their clients, and get more work done in each session, the end result being a more carefully and creatively finished final product.
