No, text messaging must be enabled to participate. However, most systems do allow you to change settings which can be used to limit text messaging spam. For example, most mobile carriers allow sending text messages by sending an email to a special mobile phone email address (e.g. @vtext.com for Verizon Wireless phones). These special mobile phone email addresses are often the most common source of SMS spam and can be turned off for a particular phone number without turning off SMS entirely. Unfortunately, with so many different carriers we cannot provide instructions for disabling your mobile phone email address or other ways to limit SMS spam. Please visit your carrier’s web page or give them a call to find out how to do this.

What is your question?

*Sadly, we had to bring back ads too. Hopefully more targeted.
