I tried to buy myself a vehicle but the menu was greyed out and said “Vehicle Limit Reached”. What is this limit?
There is a limit of 8 vehicles per team. This limit includes the Harvester; however, if it is destroyed and a player manages to purchase another vehicle before the Harvester is replaced, then it is possible to have 9 vehicles. Vehicles of one side that have been captured by the other side count against this limit, so it is definitely in each team’s best interest to ensure that none of their vehicles fall into enemy hands. Similarly, if your team has captured an enemy vehicle it is in your best interests to prevent it from being destroyed or recaptured in order to deprive your enemy of an 8th vehicle. The 8-vehicle limit is hard-coded in the executable and no-one has found a way to change it. There are “hacks” that get around the limit by designating the vehicles as Neutral (there is no limit on vehicles for the “neutral” team) or by adding vehicles to every Nod airdrop (only helps the Nod team, obviously).
