I thought Paula was opposed to shine. Why does she sell products with shimmer?
Paula has traditionally not been a fan of shiny products because they tend to accentuate lines and wrinkles (particularly around the eyes). However, she has always said that strategically placed shine can add drama to an evening or “glamour” look and she recognizes that many women, regardless of age, like to add an element of shimmer (be it liquid or powder). As long as it is used judiciously and applied to enhance, rather than detract from, a woman’s beauty, Paula believes that shimmer can be a fun element in makeup.
