I thought LimeWire did not charge for downloads. Do I have to pay for everything I download now?
No! You can still use LimeWire to search for and download files like you always have. You only have to pay for files if you decide to purchase them from the LimeWire Store at www.store.limewire.com, or by clicking on the Store tab (which looks like a shopping bag with a musical note) in LimeWire PRO. Purchasing music from the store ensures that you are downloading a high-quality mp3 from our secure servers, as opposed to from the Gnutella network, which we do not supervise or control. Additionally, you can purchase individual songs and albums without signing up for a monthly subscription–just sign up as a “Pay As You Go” customer. If you’re using our store frequently, however, it’s a good idea to sign up for a subscription. It’s a far better value!
