I think my husband is “hiding” money – how do I find out?
My husband also deals with all the finances in our home (and I’m happy about that, too). But I’ve heard too many stories about women left suddenly widowed with no idea about their personal financial situation. I’ve asked my husband to show me how to access the banking and bills records online in case something happens to him. Talk to your husband about what you’d do if he got hit by a bus or something. Tell him that you don’t want to take over the bill-paying, but it would really set your mind at ease to know what to do in such a situation. Even if you’re not the primary bill-payer, you really need to know these things. It’s only fair to you and to your kids. Good luck!
