I think it’s important for students to gain the skills involved in taking notes. Do I have to provide this accommodation if I don’t feel comfortable doing so?
Yes. You must provide this accommodation, unless note taking is one of the essential components of the class and all students are being graded on their ability to take notes. Students are determined to be eligible for this academic adjustment in an effort to offset the effects of a disabling condition. To disallow the use of this service would create an inaccessible classroom. If you have further questions, please contact DSS.
