I telecommute from home. Is emailing the raise request letter a good idea?
Face-to-face is always better, but sooner is better than never. If you’re not going to have a chance to talk in-person at any point in the near future, initiating the compensation dialogue over e-mail is fine. However, you might want to consider e-mailing your boss to schedule a phone conversation where you can at least have a verbal dialog.
