There are two possible reasons. One is that due to the nature of domain name service (DNS), which is used by computers on the Internet to look up the numeric addresses of named systems (like www.dragonfire.net), it may take up to a day for a new hostname to become visible throughout the Internet. (This applies to changed hostnames as well.) The other reason is that, with the current version of our web server, adding or deleting a virtual host requires restarting that web server process, which is something we prefer not to do too often since it can take several minutes; thus, even after your hostname resolves, it may be several hours before the web server process is restarted and your hostname starts being serviced.
