This is a bug in version 1.3 — the automatic freeing will kick in if you actually reach zero bytes of free memory. This problem is fixed in later versions so that a setting of zero does effectively turn off automatic freeing. Why won’t RAMpage start when Windows starts? There is a bug in version 1.4 which affects some users depending on what other software is installed — even though they check the “Start RAMpage when Windows starts” box, nothing happens at Windows start-up. This bug is fixed in version 1.5 If you need a workaround for version 1.4 try this: • Run regedit, (select “Run” from the Start menu and enter “regedit”) • In regedit, drill down to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->Microsoft->Windows->CurrentVersion->Run • Double click on the value named “RAMpage” in the right hand window • Place quotes around the executable file name and path.
