I set the Alarm Clock feature, but it didnt ring at the scheduled time. Why not?
Check to see if the [ALARM CLOCK] settings are set appropriately. When setting alarm clock, the [SNOOZE], [ALARM SOUND], and volume options require that the [OK/FUNC] button be pushed twice. If the button were only pushed once for any of these settings, then the settings would not have been set. Check to see if [DUALTIME] is set to [ON]. If it is, the alarm clock will sound according to the date and time settings of [DUALTIME], not to the camera default data and time. Check to see if the Stylus 740 is in Silent Mode. In this mode, the camera emits no audible cues. It will not beep when capturing an image or when making menu selections, and it will not ring an alarm when the alarm clock is set and the appointed time arrives. Instead, the camera will issue a visual cue when the alarm activates while the camera is in Silent Mode. The LCD monitor will turn on and display the time.
