I seem to lose some of my loggers due to spring runoff or storms. Is there anyway to locate them using a metal detector?

Yes metal detectors will pick up the logger. Another precaution that you may take, prior to deploying your loggers, place a tag on the logger (aluminum dog tag), stating your name, business address and phone number. This way if the logger is found, there is an address to send to it to.
