I see that the Scantron machine is marking some arrows on my student sheets as the sheets are being graded. What do these marks mean?

When scoring a test, Scantron prints arrows by incorrect responses. If the student answered three questions incorrectly, there should be three arrows on the sheet showing which three questions were answered incorrectly.
