Both offerings are free, but there are key differences. MicroStrategy Reporting Suite includes free, perpetual licenses of MicroStrategy software available for download in quantities appropriate to let your department start building and using reports quickly and easily. MicroStrategys Evaluation Edition includes nearly all MicroStrategy products, but is a limited to a 30-day trial period. In July 2009, Evaluation Edition was also made available as a virtual appliance download, which differs as shown below.
