I see that IMail is available by 10, 25, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500, or unlimited mailboxes. What is defined as a mailbox?
User or mailbox is an account within IMail. The number of mailboxes you’ll need is based on the number of users you’ll have using the system. In IMail, a “user” is an actual email account that is capable of receiving email messages. Aliases are not considered users. Aliases only act as forwarders to real email accounts and are not counted towards the license. (Also, “Root” is NOT counted as a user.) In Ipswitch Instant Messaging, a user is an ID that is capable of logging on to the server to send IM messages. Even though all your users may not be active at once, if the ID exists in your users database, then the ID is counted as a user.
