I see that Contract Analyst comes with eBids. What is eBids?

EBids is a stand-alone system for electronic bidding. An organization would create an “electronic” RFP in Contract Analyst and post it on their web site along with eBids. Vendors interested in bidding on the RFP would download the electronic RFP and eBids. The vendor would install eBids on their computer and import the electronic RFP. They would then create their bid in eBids, export their bid to an encrypted file and then either e-mail it or FTP it to the organization who would then import the electronic bid into the Proposals Module of Contract Analyst. The organization would then score the bids and award the contract to the vendor they select. It gives you a secure method to do electronic bidding without having to enter all the bids manually by hand.
