I SEE THAT CHANGES IN THE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND SELECTION PROCESS SEEM TO OCCUR FROM YEAR TO YEAR. WHAT IS THE REASON FOR THESE CHANGES?
Our accrediting body, the National League for Nursing Accreditation Committee (NLNAC) requires that an ADN program curriculum contain 103 credits, including prerequisite requirements, and these requirements were being fine-tuned from year to year to become more in line with accreditation standards. Now that we have received accreditation from the NLNAC, our requirements have been largely standardized. Any changes that you might see are usually cosmetic and will not affect any large differences in admissions criteria from year to year.
